To support our growth, we are looking for a:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (F/M)
Long term contract - Rome (ITALY)
As part of the Italian development team, you will support mergers and acquisitions within the solar energy sector through a mix of financial, technical, and project management duties.
Your main tasks will be :
TO CONDUCT DUE DILIGENCE
- Lead and support technical and financial due diligence processes to assess the risks and viability of a target company or project.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, development) and external parties to ensure all aspects of the deal are managed effectively.
TO PERFORM FINANCIAL MODELING AND ANALYZE
- Develop and maintain financial models for photovoltaic projects and portfolios.
- Perform feasibility and sensitivities studies and analyze the financial impact of potential transactions.
TO MANAGE TRANSACTIONS
- Prepare and manage transaction materials (teaser documents and financial models).
- Assist during negotiation phases by providing analytical and documentation support.
TO CONDUCT MARKET INTELLIGENCE AND INTERACT WITH STAKEHOLDERS
- Support monitoring of the Italian photovoltaic M&A market and transaction activity.
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and analysis of comparable transactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Energy Management Dept and M&A Dept, advisors, and developers.
Expected skills:
You have a background in engineering, with finance, economics, business administration knowledge, or related field and you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Business Development in renewable energy sector supporting transaction processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
You have a solid understanding of photovoltaic project economics and development stages, as well as basic knowledge of permitting, technical, and regulatory aspects of PV projects in Italy.
You have strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, enabling you to assess project viability and support decision‑making.
